ATTENTION BOOK READERS, YOU DO NOT NEED A KINDLE DEVICE TO READ A KINDLE, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT KNOW. THERE IS A FREE APPLICATION CALLED KINDLE FOR THE PC AND YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT TO YOUR LAPTOP AND READ. YOU CAN PLUG A DIGITAL MOUSE INTO YOUR LAPTOP AND SET YOUR LAPTOP ON YOUR FOOTSTOOL IF YOU HAVE ONE. JUST MAKE SURE YOU LET THE AIR COME OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF YOUR LAPTOP SO IT DOESN'T GET OVERHEATED WHILE ON THE STOOL. I LOVE THE KINDLE FOR THE PC. I DON'T READ PAPERBACKS AT ALL ANYMORE. SOME FEATURES INCLUDE EXTREME ZOOM IN TEXT, BOOK MARK AND YOU CAN JUMP TO DIFFERENT SECTIONS OF A BOOK. PLUS YOU CAN LITERALLY STORE HUNDREDS PERHAPS EVEN THOUSANDS OF BOOKS AT A TIME. IT'S LESS STRAIN ON YOUR EYES THAN A MASS MARKET PAPERBACK AND IT SAVES ROOM IN YOUR HOUSE. I'M 32 AND MY EYES ARE ACTUALLY STARTING TO GO SO THE ZOOM FEATURE IS SOMETHING I REALLY LIKED.

When I started reading this book I was expecting the same old thing, but after reading this book I am reminded of that old adage, 'Never judge a book by it's cover," or the synopsis. I was riveted from the first page and couldn't put the book down until I found out how it ended. I can't wait for the second book!
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome story! Loved it!, July 7, 2012
Justin Geary creates a world in Midnight's Cloak that draws you in and keeps you turning the pages. You feel the characters emotions, triumphs and failures. The book is easy to read, and the author has made it very easy to follow by using different print styles to show dreams and memories. The story follows multiple characters, but Justin Geary spends enough time on them in a set that the reader doesn't feel bounced back and forth.

The world itself is captivating with some traditional fantasy elements, along with some unique elements that separate this book from all others. The story is fast paced, keeping you engaged with enough detail to draw you in and understand without being overbearing.

As an avid fantasy reader, this book quickly headed to the top of my fantasy list and I cannot wait for the next book to come out. I am truly captivated by the characters, the world, the writing style and want to know how their lives go on.
5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging New Series, June 22, 2012
Justin E. Geary brings readers into a fresh new world in his breakout new series The Age of Wrath. Midnight's Cloak introduces us to bold new heroes, truly evil villains, and interesting new forms of magic.
Filled with awesome battles and realistic combat as well as romance and emotion; it has a little bit of everything, sure to please readers of all kinds.
Midnight's Cloak is a true page turner that will leave you wanting more.

What a fabulous world Justin E. Geary has created in his book, Midnight’s Cloak.  The society, geography, hierarchy, and people are complex, well thought out, and integrated.  Initially it felt like the book was split into two parts with separate people and customs, but they were eventually merged seamlessly.  I especially liked the map, index, and vocabulary definitions.  It was very helpful to have these items to refer to when things got complicated.

This book quickly drew the reader in and kept my attention despite the length and occasionally confusion in characters.  I am hopeful that there will be a sequel since I was left with unanswered questions and issues at the end of the story.  There are still some issues that need resolution for me.

I give this book 5 out of 5 clouds.

4.0 out of 5 stars An auspicious endeavor, June 27, 2012
Methinks at first glance, I might be reading a book from the JRR Tolkien series. But with further reading, I find a much different synopsis. While I don't tend to partake of readings of this nature, I can assure anyone that this is indeed, a well written work. It is evident that time was taken to ensure the reader a good experience. A plus to your collection.
4.0 out of 5 stars A saga of dark age magic, courage and steel., June 30, 2012
At times, I was reminded of very popular, late eighties video game; Golden Axe. With the shimmering clash of cross swords against battle axes. Bow and arrows poised to counter the assault of raging beasts. Magical incantations and sorcery. All of the Gothic elements one might expect from an epic adventure of this genre set against a tumultuous antiquity backdrop. I found the storyline to be compelling, even amusing at times. Justin Geary develops a tangible atmosphere, where you could almost feel the musty scent of the evening air, or the warmth of the crackling camp fire as you breeze through the storyline, which is creative and uncluttered. I recommend this book to anyone who loves an epic fantasy adventure, it is suitable for YA and adults alike. This book was allot of fun.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, August 6, 2012
This review is from: Midnight's Cloak (Book One Of The Age Of The Wrath Series) (Kindle Edition)
When I first began this book I thought I was going to get another weak attempt at smaller version of Lord of the Rings or something along those lines. Boy was I wrong. This book has unique characters which combines wizardry along with a samurai--both of which I have an extreme fascination with.

This is a fast past book and keeps your interest but it does need a little bit more character development to put it over the top. Justin Geary did a great job coming up with them but once I sat the book down and came back to it I needed reminding of who they were again.

For a different fantasy read I would recommend this book. I am looking forward to seeing what this author can come up with next.

3.5 Golden Stars.
3.0 out of 5 stars A Unique Twist on Fantasy Stories, August 6, 2012
This review is from: Midnight's Cloak (Book One Of The Age Of The Wrath Series) (Kindle Edition)
Justin Geary created a fantasy world of creatures, warriors, and more in his book, Midnight's Cloak.

This is the story of a wizard who does what no one would ever do to achieve complete power. What he doesn't expect is a samurai and his band of unique friends to actually challenge him and his quest for total dominance.

This story is full of unique characters and places that you will be reading on just to see what others one will pop up from the creative mind of Geary. At times the dialogue seems to be more modern than the world he has described and the flow of the story seems a little unbelievable. The characters could have been more developed giving the story a tighter feeling.

Fantasy stories are out there, but this one is unique. I liked the end of the book where the author gives definitions of the imaginative world he created to help the reader better understand it.

Good story, just wish the characters were a little better developed. I will definitely continue to read the next books.

I can only say... "Ugh". The dialogue in this book is horrible. The setting skips from one sentence to the next. A LOT of unnecessary detail that serves no purpose except to give away what exactly is going to happen in the next 5 minutes of a character's life-span.

Near the beginning of the book one of the main characters spends time sitting over a fire admiring his sword contemplating how he is inseparable from it, how stupid it would be for it to ever leave his side... only to leave it laying at the fire while he wanders aimlessly into the woods. Leaving his sword, not to mention the girl he just spent a freaking Month traveling to get to in order to protect her!? Ahhhh and that premise... he gets up in the middle of the night and walks out of his life completely (telling no one, not even the "Master" he's been studying under for the last 15-20 years) to travel to a land he had never heard of before (although shortly there-after we find out he is intimately familiar with towns in that same land, and that country's neighbors...) because he had a dream and a girl asked him to come help her. Noble, maybe. Stupid... without question. Especially considering he is supposed to be some uber disciplined member of a warrior clan.

The list goes on. Trust me.

I will never read another book by this author and will probably never buy another book having multiple reviews from The Virtual Book Tour Cafe either. Anything over 2 stars for this book is down-right dishonest.

Hello and welcome to my blog, the Age Of The Wrath. First of all this Blog is not proofread. I have had several people complaining about my previous blog not being proofread. My novel Midnight's Cloak is Proofread my Blog is not and I don't plan on proofing it. I'm creating this blog to let my twitter followers know where i'll be when I go on online booktours. We all know that grammatical errors exist within however I don't find it necessary to proofread every single post I make on the Blog. I will proofread guest Blog posts on other people's blogs however. Don't pretend that you don't understand what i'm posting, I've read things myself with bad spelling and grammar and can still understand the meaning which is why I find the complaints so annoying. I will post any upcoming information about Midnight's Cloak. A kindle is now available for $7.99 and it's free for Amazon prime members in the lenders Library. You can also read my sample chapters and book reviews on Amazon. The paperback doesn't have a cover up yet and the reviews are on both my Kindle page and paperback page. My publisher is BBB accredited and the interior looks as good as any national publishers. My goal is to introduce Epic Fantasy readers who like world building Epic Fantasy like Robert Jordan, David Farland and Terry Goodkind to my series which is similar to these authors. My series is ten books long and will look professional. I work very hard on my books and feel that I deserve recognition. Let me tell you a little bit about me as an author. I come from a bloodline of writers. My great Uncle, my Grandma's uncle Laurence Edmond Allen won the Pulitzer prize for international telegraphic reporting. And my Great Grandmother Pan Finzel wrote a short story that was published by a Pittsburgh press called Fate's method. To help you determine whether or not you would enjoy my book i will tell you the type of TV shows I watch as well. BBC's Merlin is a favorite of mine and Supernatural which of course is horror, but I do have a wide variety interests. Movie's I like: The Neverending Story, The Dark Crystal, The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, The Princess Bride and Dragonheart. I do not post everyday on my blog, but only when I have new information for readers, which I may tweet to my followers. Thank you for visiting my blog, Justin E.
